ORC 2019: Week 5- Accessories and Last Minute Additions
If your following along with any of the other One Room Challenge participants (click HERE to see those spaces), then this week you’ll most likely hear this phrase quite a bit: “we are in the homestretch.” And there’s good reason why it’s repeated over and over again- this makeover challenge is comparable to an internal race. Can you finish in time? Is the room taking shape the way you originally anticipated? Are you reaching those individual goals that you’ve set for yourself? And in the end, most of us are excited to have simply crossed that finish line (and some of us brave souls even jump right back into training again for the next design marathon).
Though it’s challenge number 5 for me, these last 2 weeks always feel like the big sprint no matter how prepared I am. And this project is no exception. Yes, my to do list has dwindled and with the aid of a few Tums here and there, my heartburn is under control (not sure if that’s from room makeover stress or being 7 months pregnant with our second boy or maybe both?). But with just 3 days left before the photographer shoots the space, there remain A LOT of little (and one very big) details to bring the antique farmhouse living room full circle- please have those curtains made in time dear Ernesto, my talented upholsterer (insert nervous nail biting face here).
I’m not going to show you my checked-off to do list from last week or even concern you with all that needs to be accomplished before the big reveal set for Thursday May 9th, but I will leave you with some snaps of how the room has come together thus far. Next week is the big one though so please stop back to see the full transformation! The before and afters are going to be so so good!
As always- Love & Creativity,
